復讐 | Fukushū

The higanbana or red spider lily is a blood red flower that signifies the arrival of shūbun or the autumnal equinox in Japan.

It's a poisonous flower that used to be planted around gravesites to prevent animals from digging up the area, and it has always had connections with death and the afterlife.

'Higan' also means 'the other shore' in Japanese, which refers to the Sanzu River (三途の川) in Buddhism, which is the boundary between this world and the afterlife where souls must cross the Sanzu River to the other side.

The higanbana has many other names such as hell flower, ghost flower  and manjushage, which includes a mythical story about Amaterasu goddess of the sun.
