Ōtautahi Asian Creatives is a casual meet up for artists, performers, musicians, designers, writers, poets, curators, students or workers in the arts or creative industries of Asian heritage based in Ōtautahi Christchurch. 

 

We are making space for the Asian creative community, which is notoriously under-represented and under-supported in the Aotearoa arts scene. A cross-cultural creative exchange to create a connection point and build a support system for Asian creatives in Ōtautahi. A space to bounce ideas off each other, a chance for collabs, exhibitions, presentations or performances together. Let's create the best hive mind hype crew to boost support and discuss opportunities and funding for the Asian diaspora in Aotearoa.

 

This will be a semi regular meet up which may include fun craft nights, artist talks, funding discussions etc. in the future. Meet like-minded folks, make new connections and hang out - spread the word far and wide to your creative friends!
